Dark coastal architecture in the dunes

VOLUME 01

SCROLL TO READ

More than a house. Hidden between dunes and sea, The Dune House represents a quieter side of Sylt. Built around light, material and atmosphere, it belongs as much to the landscape as it does to architecture.

The Story

A house is often described by its rooms. Here, the story begins outside: in the long grass, the salt air, the silence between the wind and the sea. Oak, limestone and linen establish a simple material vocabulary. Nothing asks to be noticed first; everything reveals itself slowly.
